Big Rock villa is located within an expansive, nearly one-hectare beachfront estate in Barangay Salvacion, Municipality of Pilar. This villa offers a rare slice of seclusion on Siargao Island. Salvacion is one of the more untouched corners of Siargao. A peaceful barangay in the municipality of Pilar, located on the eastern side of the island facing the Pacific Ocean. Salvacion remains a small fishing village, where life happens slower and more authentically and is connected to the sea. Here you’ll find pristine, near-exclusive beaches with white sand and crystal-clear waters; excellent beginner-to-advanced surf breaks (including the famous Salvacion right-hander—long, clean rides, strong barrels, and often protected from wind); and easy paddling access to the waves right from shore. Surfers seeking quality waves without crowds, as well as those seeking barefoot luxury, privacy, and immersion in nature, love this area. Beyond the beach, Pilar is home to some of Siargao’s most beautiful and lesser-known attractions: dramatic rock formations and tidal pools at Magpupungko Beach, serene hidden coves, waterfalls (like Datu and Beto Cold Springs), a marine reserve, mangrove forests, and stunning coastal views perfect for sunrise paddles or sunset relaxation. The villa sits in one of the island’s most serene pockets, ideal for those who want surf and adventure by day and complete relaxation and privacy by night, away from the main tourist flow yet still just 25–30 minutes from General Luna. Your private paradise awaits The entire villa is yours alone—exclusively for you and your group, with no shared spaces or other guests. Every corner is designed for you to relax, surf, swim, cook, or simply soak in the calm beauty of this quiet part of Siargao. Our friendly on-site team is available 24/7 to quietly take care of anything you need, fresh towels, extra pillows, surf tips, or whatever makes your stay even better. They always respect your privacy and only enter the guest areas when helping with daily housekeeping or your requests. A small number of staff and maintenance rooms remain closed and out of sight (used only by the team to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes). Pool maintenance & daily housekeeping: For the sake of crystal-clear water and a comfortable environment during your stay, we must have daily cleaning of the common areas in the early morning (starting at 6am). Our staff works discreetly and silently for your comfort. The estate is only surrounded by a few cabanas and is very near some small fisherman houses at the Salvacion village. The villa is 100% beachfront; taking a few steps from the swimming pool, you can swim in the sea and enjoy the views of the big rock formation that gives the villa its name and the Pacific Ocean. A little farther to your right, you will see Santa Fe. Secure a vehicle for your stay. To fully enjoy your stay, having your own transportation (car or motorcycle) is essential, as tuk-tuks and other options are limited in the area. Dogs on the property & occasional wildlife. We share the property with a few friendly dogs. They’re part of the charm for animal lovers, but if you’re not comfortable around pets, this may not be the ideal place for you. We have some other guests from time to time, harmless and colorful. Understanding local life. The area is peaceful overall, but it follows the rhythms of local life: occasional music during local festivities, roosters crowing, and everyday sounds. It’s all part of the setting, but worth keeping in mind. There may be occasional power outages in all of Siargao, usually short. A generator is in place to cover essential needs, and our team will take care of everything to ensure your comfort.
